In the middle of the mess was a screaming child...yes, you guessed it, Phoenix. But with a good reason this time. His head met the corner of the playstation which left him with a nice gash. He got stiches, a lollipop and a new transformer for it. We got another bill from the hospital! Tomorrow is 2 more doctor appointments for Peyton and Isabella....shouldn't we get frequent flyer discounts?

Ok, so everyone is asking "when are you guys gonna move?"...we're gonna start thinking everyone wants us to leave! (hahaha). Anyway, our house is closing on July 14th. Where are we gonna live you might ask? We are going to stay for hopefully not more than 3 and a half months in a basement apartment of our nephew's wife dads house (sound redneck?). It lacks a few necessities (like a microwave, air conditioner, washer/dryer hook ups), but in all other ways we feel blessed to have someone rent to us without a 6 month lease. Our land sales contract has been extended to close on July25th. We were a little disappointed, but we're still grateful that they still wanted it. Our land closing depends upon 2 houses being sold...It goes like this... The Tolman's buying our land are selling their house to the Berry's who are selling their house to a family. The Berry's are closing on their house and buying the Tolman's and the Tolman's are buying our land supposedly all on July 25th. Sound non-reassuring? Well, we're keeping our fingers crossed. As far as the house being built...well, we've never been happier to say that we have dug ourselves a hole...literally. Actually, they have already put a basement in that hole and started to frame on top of the basement. We anticipate being able to move in on November 1st....we're keeping our fingers crossed on that as well. Bella is doing good...still sounds a little junky in her trunky, but no wheezing or retracting. Peyton is passed the ear infection and moved onto thrush from the antibiotics. Phoenix has a fever last night and tonight and was asking to eat tacos in his sleep. He's doing pretty well in the potty training business. Carson is healthy (Alleluia!) but he has to be reassured that every toy that is put in a box is going to eventually come out again, but we have to pack it in order to be able to keep it. He keeps saying "but Mom, I wanted to keep that one..." So we go through the whole thing again...he's so dang cute!

Here Fishy Fishy!!

Fish on!

"We should let this one go because he misses his family".

It has been a while since I've taken the boys fishin' so
we decided we would go up the Logan River and the Sludge
River ( that is what we call the Bear River ). Between all the
rock throwing, weed stomping, loud laughing, and re-casting
we were actually able to catch some fish!! They probably just
sacrificed themselves so we would leave. Ha Ha.

Anyway, they loved to feel the carp lips, slimy eyeballs and
sharp fins of the channel cats. They both proved to be great
fishermen. Phoenix caught the carp that is as big as he is and
Carson caught the most both times. All on those little two foot poles.
We had fun and as a bonus, nobody fell in...AMAZING!

"I caught your favorite fish Daddy, A TV cat!!"

Phoenix called this the Grandpa Whale Carp.

They had a blast when they both had a fish on at the same time!

Isabella is doing good. She was able to give back the oxygen tanks. She was seen on Monday by her pediatrician. He said that "her lungs sound like garbage", but at least her wheezing and retractions were gone. He believes it may be bronchiolitis or possibly reflux. Reflux was the cause of her desaturations as a preemie in the NICU. She will be seen again on July 10th and if she has not improved then the next step is acid reducers. She is back to her happy, smiley self. It's SO good to see her bright eyes and big smiles again. She has even given us a few giggles too! The other kid-o's are great. Carson and Phoenix are enjoying there little swimming pool out back and riding their bikes. Stan and I are actually packing (I can't believe it may actually go through this time!) We are scheduled to close on July 14th so we're looking quickly for a place to live.

I guess we are starting to realize that "Girls Rule, Boys Drool!" At least that's what our little Isabella thinks. She caught a "small cold" which turned into a big deal (girls are so dramatic). She thought it would be funny to freak her parents out by wheezing and retracting so she landed herself in the Emergency department. They took x-rays, RSV test, did 3 breathing treatments and some oral steroids and her O2 saturation was still 85% so she got a mini vacation on the pediatric floor. She stayed 3 days and 2 nights. Her wheezing and retractions are soooo much better, but her oxygen won't stay above 86% on room air so she gets her trusty ole' O2 tank back. The guy that sets up the oxygen tanks in your house actually remembered us when he saw our address on the list...that's not cool! (ha ha ha...Bella thinks it is, she thinks she's famous now!) Anyway, I (Aubrey) was sad because I've been looking forward to a family activity at Mom J's house, but I guess our kids decided everything for us! Here's some photos of Isabella.

We had an awesome weekend! We went to Spring Hollow campground at "third dam" up Logan Canyon to camp for one night wiith our family friends, Lanee and Chelsea Adamson and their 2 little girls. Believe it or not, we actually had a good time with all these kids...and no disasters! Carson caught a couple of rainbow trout and Phoenix slipped into the mud...the babies slept the same as at home and didn't seem to mind the overnight trip. We had lots of treats and good food.

So, I was recently reading an article left for me in my work box from another nurse titled "The Preemie Diaries". It was basically a man's journal entries which he wrote during the time his premature twins were hospitalized in the NICU. In ways it makes me shutter to remember the small details which he describes his infants experience with tubes, heart monitors, breathing machines, etc etc. He described their experience with Necrotising Enterocolitis as "relentless stress"...something we're are glad to be done with as well. Then a few months pass, the babies start to grow and develop, and infrequently do we remember what we would have given 6 months ago to know that we would be doing as good as we are. There are good nights and bad and sometimes really bad (such as last night), but "bad" is relative. I'm ashamed at what I consider now to be a "bad" night considering what we experienced a short 6 months ago...
We brought Peyton and Isabella in for their 6 month check up. Isabella hit the scales at a hefty 15+ pounds and is in the 29th percentile (the biggest of all our babies at her age!). Peyton is still a wee- little-one. He is only 13+ pounds and isn't even hitting the 1st percentile...Stan asked oue pediatrician if he wanted us to give him bacon juice in his bottle!

Here are videos of Carson's first soccer game and first goal of the year for the team! The other video is what I like to call "brotherly love."

Well, a lot happens in a short period of time here at the Johnson home. We had bought a lot up on the bench of he Wellsville mountains mid February. We had all the plans drawn up and were just about to dig the hole when we ran across a small problem (ok, maybe a big problem...and one of many problems) and changed all our plans. We sold our home, walked through a model home and signed to build an "Immaculate Home" on a totally different lot. Now we just need to sell the lot up on the bench and we'll be in good shape...never say never around here! The path we're on feels SO much less stressful and we are totally in love with the house plan. In fact, we loved it so much that we decided to bring our good friends, Chelsea and Lanee Adamson, over to see it...they evidently loved the "Immaculate Home" plans too because they signed on a house plan and a lot right next door to us!!

As for the kid-o's, they are all fantastic! Carson started soccer. He was a little nervous to go, but he didn't mind the attention he received when he made the very first goal of the season!! I included a video of it! The babies are big and healthy and Phoenix is happy (mostly...we're still working on that one.) The babies aren't sleeping a minute longer than the day we brought them home so Stan and and I are usually delisrious. As Stan puts it "Man, I get more sleep when I go to work!" Carson's birthday is coming up and he reminds us of everything he wants everyday. The boys are anxious to be outside even if it is still a little chilly...and we're anxious for them to be out there too! Well, I better be going it's time to get the kids in bed...oh wait, we just got outta bed...dang it!
