Phoenix thought these shoes were more than appropriate for church...

I won't lie...it's been a bit of a wreck around our parts (disclaimer-things could be worse, but we're grateful that they aren't!). Phoenix was wheezing for a couple of days and wasn't responding much to an albuterol inhaler so we brought him to the hospital. It seems as though on the way to the hospital you realize one of two things. First, you think...are the doctors going to think this is no big deal and send us on our way. Or, they are going to wonder why they don't call the Child Protection Agency on you because by the time you bring your kid in the child is half dead. Well, this time we were wondering the latter. The doctors jaw dropped when she heard him breathe. She wanted to admit him to the hospital, but allowed him instead (probably to torture me) to go home with oral steroids, inhalers, nebulizers and be on oxygen. Yes, on oxygen...can I tell you how fun that is...

Anyway, Stan was out of town during that whole fun episode, but there was much more fun to be had...Two days later Peyton was wheezing, so we didn't put up with it for very long. We brought him to the hospital and he is now on a nebulizer plus he has an ear infection. Ask how the other kids are doing...go ahead, ask. They are all throwing up today and through the night last night and I have a sinus infection. So now we get to bring 30 loads of laundry to the laundry mat to wash so we have blankets to sleep on tonight. Are we crazy yet? That's an understatement, but we were crazy before we ever had children so at least some things don't change...

We don't have a bathtub in our basement apartment so Phoenix uses the kitchen sink when taking a shower doesn't sound so good!

This is the third time in the last couple of months that someone crashed into the back of our van...this time it was in the Burger King drive through!
Sicily getting friendly with the frogs that Stan caught for the boys...

Carson's view of what happened at the park...

Bella has moved on to dog food now. I find her chewing on Sicily's dog food so much now that I've had to move the bowl outside. She must have a non-picky pallet!
We successfully made it through last week with Stan in Vernal and me home with all the kids....if that is any indication of what it's like to be the CEO of a household than I'm second guessing my desire of being a "stay-at-home-mom." We pretty much drove out to see the house being built at least 3 times a day which probably cost us $15 a day in gas, but the sanity is worth it. I just wonder what the subcontractors thought of a van full of screaming children with a sleep deprived mother in the front seat drooling over the beautiful banisters they were installing. A bowl of popcorn and a fountain drink seemed appropriate, but maybe that would be going overboard. We are truly going stir crazy now. Although we should be in the house in approx. 30-45 days, it seems as though none of us are keeping our focus....
Sicily has found a new way to enter our apartment. Our door to come in is actually in a back bedroom where it is occasionally too loud (go figure) for us to hear her scratching at the door. So, being the intelligent canine that she is, she now jumps down into the window well in our kitchen and scratches at the window. I just about soiled myself (Stan's term) when she jumped in it the first time and I thought a grizzily bear was attacking us from the window well. But then again, that would bring some excitement to our lives so bring on the wild animals!

Peyton and Isabella are into EVERYTHING! I caught Isabella in the bathroom again just as I had made some cereal and bananas for both babies. I had to pick beetle remains from her little gums to make room for breakfast...Maybe that's why she's so much bigger than Peyton...I hear beetles have protein! Carson officially rides his bike without training wheels! Yahoo! He was so proud of himself!
Our house is coming along...They are putting doors on along with trim. The sub doing the work said he'd be finished by Tuesday and they should be painting soon after...a little glimpse of light is heading our way.

It's amazing at how much free time you get when you lose one ofyour sons to kindergarten every day...I'm almost approaching the "b" word...yep you guessed it, bored. So, after much fasting and praying Stan and I have decided that we will expand our family with yet another child. Call us crazy, but I think the more appropriate word would be liars. You can pick your jaw up off the ground because, yes, we are kidding and if you ever have that thought cross your head in the near future I want you to poke your eye out with a rubber mallet!

Dumb and Dumber
